Founded in 1964 in honor of the 35th president of the United States, John F. Kennedy University is a nonprofit private university with three campuses in the San Francisco Bay area and a member of the National University System. John F. Kennedy University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the same body which accredits the other major universities and colleges in the western United States.
With nationally recognized programs, John F. Kennedy University offers innovative and flexible higher education opportunities that enable students to achieve success both personally and professionally. John F. Kennedy University is based on a practitioner-scholar model. JFKU’s master in transformative arts has equipped me to use creative expression
Consodyne is one of a handful of women artists in Uganda. She is an artist who has exhibited her artwork professionally in her home country and abroad for nearly 10 years. Her artistic expression has developed and continues to evolve over time. It has taken form as both abstract and realistic, in paint, pastel, ink, clay or movement, graphics in print, acting and in words written or spoken. It has been about issues as varied as HIV/AIDS, wildlife activism, Ugandan social and cultural norms, to my own thoughts, dreams and prayers and so John F. Kennedy University’s unique practical learning approach was precisely what she needed to deepen and take her artistic expression further.“Coming from a country looking for answers to deal with and affect disease, poverty and death, JFKU’s master in transformative arts has equipped me to use creative expression as a means to affect deep and lasting individual or communal behavioral and social change.”
