Cañada College is located on the edge of Silicon Valley in between San Francisco and San Jose. Cañada opened in 1968 as part of the three-school San Mateo County Community College District. The college is located on 131 acres in the western part of Redwood City in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

The college serves approximately 6,000 and offers over 50 programs of study including art, business, engineering, fashion design and political science. Cañada College offers a personalized learning environment with scholarship and internship opportunities. Our students have successfully transferred to top universities including UC Berkeley, UCLA and UC Davis. Students can also earn a four-year degree on campus through our University Center that has partnerships with San Francisco State University, Notre Dame de Namur University and National University.
