Most of 2020 might have been a blur as it’s gone by, but December is here! For most of you this will be sweet holiday music to your ears as you gear up to jump right into 2021. For the few of you who will miss 2020, now is the time to say your goodbyes to this year, and prepare for what’s to come in the new semester and new year.

TVC: Life After Lockdown Winners Announced

We are thrilled to announce that the judges have decided on the 2020 Travel Video Contest winners! We couldn’t have been more impressed with the determination and creativity seen in each of the 117 videos received this year. Although many students have experienced delays in their international education, or changes that they were not anticipating- like switching to online classes, perseverance and hope are abundant; because of this we know you will each go far in your pursuits.

After much deliberation, the winners have been named from the 10 remaining finalists. Congratulations to each of the 2020 Travel Video Contest Winners:

  • First Place ($4,000): Fiqah Rahman for “In the Light of Covid-19”
  • Second Place ($500): Aashna Singh for “The Home of an International Student”
  • Third Place ($250): Julia De Camargo Correa for “Dear 2021”
  • Viewers’ Choice ($1,000): Larissa Silveira for “Story of My Life”
