Adding a Location to Your Featured School Profile

International students look at a lot of different aspects when searching for a school- including cost, degree options, campus life and location. Our January tip of the month is how you can update or add your school’s location on your profile to ensure it’s reflected in the best way possible. Adding a location will generate a map and state specific information on your featured school profile giving students just another reason to attend your college or university.

  1. First log into your account and then click on the “View Dashboard” button underneath “School Search Account.”
  2. Click the pencil icon on the right hand side.
  3. Scroll down to “School Details” and click the blue "Update" button in the right corner.
  4. Under “School Address” simply input the address you want for your school and click the blue “Save” icon at the bottom to update your address.
  5. Then follow the blue “Enhanced Editor” button on the right hand side.
  6. Scroll down until you come across the “Choose the content that you wish to add to this profile.”
  7. On the left hand side click on the blue “Location” button.
  8. Just click create and your location will now be live on your Featured Profile!

Tip of the Month From Lisa Jacobson at Cascadia College

The New Year is a great time to set professional goals both for yourself and your office as a whole. Our tip of the month comes from Lisa Jacobson from Cascadia College who recommends an exercise for your office to imagine if all your goals could be possible.

"For this new year try the “blue sky” exercise. With your whole staff, brainstorm goals, possible solutions to problems you would like to try, and things you would like to achieve for your office or for your student population if everything was a “blue sky” – no clouds, no negative thinking, no restrictions. This can be a very fun and positive exercise, and you may be surprised by how many of your “blue sky” ideas are actually quite achievable. “Blue sky” brainstorming gets the ball rolling on some positive changes for your office in the new year."
