PARTNER Newsletter

Our October letter to you typically includes all things around NAFSA regionals- where we’re heading, what we’re presenting on, and how we can connect. This year that looks a little different, but we still have a lot to share and discuss! This month you can explore ways to leverage your InternationalStudent.com profile and increase your social media reach and engagement. Additionally, today is the last day your students can enter TVC: Life After Lockdown- here you can gather the details you need for sharing this information.

This too shall pass, and when that time comes, we look forward to once again grabbing a coffee with you or enjoying a restaurant hops together. Until then, we send you warm thoughts from the sunshine state and will stay connected digitally.

Use Visuals on Social Media to Increase Engagement

Looking to increase engagement on your social media channels? The numbers show that creating videos and images for your page is a great way to get reach and engagement up.

  • Tweets with photos average a 35% increase in retweets (according to Twitter)
  • Social media posts with video have 48% more views than those that don't have a video (according to Hubspot)

Take a look at our organic reach and engagement for posts with a video or image- listed in the top two rows, compared to the reach and engagement for posts without those visual aspects- listed in the bottom two rows. When looking at our Facebook Insights, posts with a video or image have an average of 213% increase in reach and 1613% increase in engagement!

Send us an email to set up an appointment at a time that’s convenient for you- and we can enjoy a cup of coffee together!

5 Tips for Your Profile

When creating your profile it can be difficult to know what kind of content will engage prospective students and result in more leads for your institution; because of this we have a few tips that will help you get the most out of your featured profile:

  1. Include testimonials from current international students: If you have a thriving international student community on campus, show prospective students what they will become a part of when they enroll at your institution.
  2. Add something that makes your institution unique: Does your institution have a program, organization or accreditation that is unlike any other? Highlight it!
  3. Embed videos from your YouTube channel: Your video content can be a great addition to your profile as students may prefer to watch instead of read. Let the play button unfold the details.
  4. Highlight COVID-19 accommodations: We know that you’re working hard to provide students with a fulfilling, yet safe international education. Share with prospective students what changes or additions you have made.
  5. Outline admissions requirements: It’s a good idea to include minimum test scores for any that your college or university requires.

Not only can we provide additional tips to help leverage your profile, we’re also happy to update your profile content for you. Simply send us an email outlining the changes you would like to make, attach any images you want to add, and we’ll take care of the rest!
