Sending Email on a Friday?

Friday is great for a lot of reasons and this is just one more to add to the list. Our data shows us that, during this time, our emails sent on a Friday have a higher unique open rate and a nearly three times higher click to open rate than emails sent on most other days of the week. Keep in mind that content, time of year and any specific targeting might impact your results. However, if you’re contemplating when to send out an email to your prospective students - try Friday!

Networking Corner

We’re excited to continue building community amongst our partners by featuring each of you! This month we’re pleased to introduce you to Dr. Philip Hull, Director of The International Involvement Center at Northwest Missouri State University.

As the Director of The International Involvement Center, Dr. Hull’s mission is to promote an international environment at Northwest. By keeping Northwest traditions alive and introducing new initiatives, it’s evident that he has been successful in helping to internationalize Northwest’s campus. Dr. Hull has created an on-campus environment that allows international students and domestic students to connect and grow along with each other- something we witnessed first hand during a student-facing livestream last year. His positive attitude, witty sense of humor, hard work and knowledge have earned him utmost respect from Northwest international students and the international education community. If you haven’t met Dr. Phil Hull drop him a “hello” on LinkedIn.

Annual Travel Video Contest Coming Soon

Our 16th Travel Video Contest is set to begin next month and we can hardly wait to announce this year’s new theme. Each year we delight in hosting the annual contest which awards four international students simply for sharing their international education story. Last year, our winning videos were nothing short of outstanding and it was a difficult choice to name one first place winner. After much deliberation our judges were able to name Fiqah Rahman, an NYU master’s degree student, the winner of our $4,000 grand prize for her moving video, In the Light of COVID-19.

More details on this year’s contest will become available on the contest home page soon. Students can visit the link below starting on September 1st for more information, or follow us on social media for the latest updates.
