Time for Tax Returns

Tax season is officially underway and all students who lived in the U.S. during 2021, along with their dependents, must file Form 8843. For guidance on filing their tax returns, students can visit our comprehensive tax section which includes steps, FAQs, help videos and information on a tax preparation service. In addition, students also have access to our free Form 8843 Wizard to complete the required tax form. The Wizard simply asks students to fill in a little bit of information, then it populates the form automatically without saving any personal data. We invite you to share this resource with your students so they can file as soon as possible.

Administrator Question:

Q: What is one of the best practices for providing information to prospective students through our school website?

A: A frequently asked questions (FAQs) section is extremely helpful for prospective students. Not only will an FAQ page allow students the ability to gain answers to questions all in one place, it could also help when it comes to your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) ranking.

Here are some suggestions to consider when creating and updating your institution’s FAQ page:

  1. Keep it simple and speak to your students: A strong FAQ page provides a summary of your audience's main concerns and answers to common questions students have during the enrollment process.
  2. Encourage further browsing: Provide a list of straightforward questions and concise answers. Incorporate in-text links leading to other sections of your website to address specific questions in more depth.
  3. Optimize your SEO value: FAQ sections can be a valuable tool to increase the likelihood of a prospective student finding you online. Dedicated upkeep and well-optimized answers can help provide heightened visibility.
