June is here, and we’re pleased to bring you the latest issue of our Savvy Educator. Having recently wrapped up the first in-person annual NAFSA conference since 2019, it’s now time to start planning for the fall semester — both welcoming students back on campus and continuing to meet goals. To help you navigate this period, we have included a few tips and resources for you to explore regarding international education.

We hope you enjoy this month’s newsletter. See you in July!

Sincerely,

June 2022

The Annual NAFSA Conference 2022 Is Complete

We were thrilled to meet with so many of you, especially those we hadn’t connected with face-to-face in two years. We are already counting down the days until we’re able to meet again next year. In the meantime, we look forward to continuing to work hard to be a reliable resource for you and your students.

If we weren’t able to connect in Denver, please send us a message to schedule a meeting. No matter the distance, we are pleased to continue serving you in the best way possible.

Get Social This Summer

Students might be spending more time on social media than researching schools during the summer months, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still reach them! While beating the heat and staying indoors, get creative with how you reach current and prospective students. One great trend to test? Reels! Film some great campus shots, find trending music to use in the background, and start posting. If you need ways to further plan and expand your social media presence, check out our article below.

Loan Comparison Tool for Your Students

Preparing finances before a new semester can be stressful and time-consuming. If you have students in search of a student loan, our loan comparison tool can help. Students provide basic information including their country of citizenship, degree level, graduation date, cosigner status, and school. Based on their answers, our tool will provide a list of available lenders for them to explore and contact.

Students can save time by comparing the available options in one place. Feel free to share our loan search tool with your students who need funding.

Question of the Month

Question: “Is there a fee to post scholarships on your scholarship search?”

Answer: Our scholarship search is not only complimentary for schools to utilize, but it’s also a good way to drive interest from international students. Here’s how you can start:

Log in to your admin account to access your dashboard. Once logged in, you will see “Scholarship Account” on the right side of your screen. Click the “View Dashboard” button and you will then be directed to create a new award. From there, you can complete the form with the required information.

After your award is approved, you can log in to update it as necessary. We hope this helps you share details on any scholarships you offer!

Need Images? This Might Help!

Whether through social media, email, or another medium, we all connect with students a great deal. Adding a visual touch is nice, but it doesn’t always call for a candid student photo or campus image. Trying to find free, captivating images can be a challenge, but it doesn’t have to be! Check out Unsplash to search through a variety of images from around the world. The best part? They have free images you can use!
