Back to school! Taking a look back two years ago, this time of year certainly looked different. The start of this semester has brought many students and a lot of excitement along with it. Although busy, it’s certainly a period of time that has been anticipated for quite a while, and is greatly welcomed. This month, we have a few tips to help you out—including resources to pass along to your students. We hope you all have a wonderful start to the Fall 2022 semester. See you in September.

Student Resources for the New Semester

With students arriving back on campus, they’re sure to have questions around common needs. As a reminder, we have many resources available for international students to explore. Here are just a few common items that might come in handy over the next few weeks:

If you have a specific resource you need information on—let us know!

New Semester, New Information

If you’ve already claimed your free profile, then you know how important it is to have current information reflected on it. This allows students to get an accurate snapshot of what makes your institution great, and if it’s the dream school they’ve been searching for. With the new year upon us, now is a great time to ensure key items are up to date including tuition, ratio and programs. You can start by logging in and begin making edits after clicking on the pencil icon.

Sharing States with Students Around the World

As you may already know, InternationalStudent.com is pleased to welcome state consortia on our site. This provides an opportunity for students around the world to learn more about what it’s like to study in certain states—plus, it provides an opportunity for consortium member schools to connect with interested students.

If you’re a member of your state consortium and would like to know more, let us know!

Interestingly Enough

“Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life.” - Pablo Picasso

Of course, you don’t have to be a Picasso to understand this to be true. This time of year can be especially busy, as it’s packed full of back to school tasks. Stress is bound to creep into your life, and stretching your creative muscles is a great cathartic release. Drawing, painting, singing, sculpting, and dancing are all activities that have a positive connection with mental health. Not feeling creative? Simply viewing art and listening to music can provide some encouragement! So get out there, be creative, and encourage your students to do the same.
