As an architecture student, there is one place that stands out above the rest for its architectural merit. Italy is a place where incredible culture, ideology, and precedents coincide. Studying abroad in Italy is a dream, one that I will finally be able to accomplish in the Spring of 2012. I will be studying in Orvieto, a small hilltop town near the center of the country. There, I will live and study the architecture of the region, taking weekly field trips to neighboring cities to study the wonders that they contain. Throughout the trip, I will be making watercolors of the sights, sketching cathedrals, and making short films of the experience. Italy is a beautiful country, and an architectural mecca!
