Mission Statement

The mission of Aims Community College is to help students achieve their learning goals and objectives through effective and efficient program options and services and to develop partnerships that support economic development and global understanding.

The role of the Learning College at Aims Community College is to contribute and shape scenarios that empower learning through discovery, shared learning environments, and construction of knowledge.

Aims At A Glance

Aims Community College is a public, fully accredited, two-year college with multiple campuses in Northern Colorado. The 175-acre main campus has been centered in Greeley for over 45 years with satellite campuses in Ft. Lupton, Loveland and Windsor.

Aims has 160 degree and certificate programs and over 4,000 daytime, evening, weekend and on-line courses offerings each year and courses are designed to transfer to a 4-year University or to certify students to step right into specific jobs.

At Aims, our mission is to help students achieve their learning goals and objectives through effective and efficient program options and services and to develop partnerships that support economic development and global understanding.

Tuition Comparison

At Aims, you get the lowest tuition in Colorado for Weld County residents. In fact, you could go to Aims full time for two years, and save enough money to pay for a third year at a four year university—with money left over!

Retention and Student Success Rates

Graduation Rate, per IPEDS Graduation Rate Survey, submitted Spring 2012 using the Fall 2008 full-time, first-time cohort. (Success rates include graduation and transfer out.)

In 2006, Aims began to study the retention rates of students who had remedial needs and decided to implement a program to better serve students with remedial needs. The FYE (First Year Experience) course, created for the Emerging Scholars program, was expanded to include students not in Emerging Scholars who wanted to take a FYE course.

Aims Community College recognizes and celebrates diversity in society and believes that educational opportunity should be accessible to all individuals who can benefit from the College’s programs and courses.

Diversity embodies differences. Some differences are immutable, those things we are born with or those we cannot change. Differences include race, color, ethnicity, sex, physical abilities/qualities, sexual orientation and age. Diversity also includes many qualities that we acquire, including education, religion, geographic location, income, marital status, and work experience to name only a few.

We must nurture and respect differences and appreciate the multitude of perspectives resulting from our differences. We must strive to provide an environment that is enriching to all. Along with recognizing differences, understanding and appreciating our shared humanity allows us to work and learn in an atmosphere where all are welcome and valued.

Intensive English Language Program

About the IELP/ESL Program

Aims is committed to its diverse population and welcomes all students interested in beginning or continuing their educational goals.

Aims Intensive English Language Program is one of the pathways to many college programs and professions. It provides adults access to their community college while enabling students to practice and improve their English skills, as needed.

Aims IELP and ESL courses also allow students an opportunity to learn English in a safe and supporting environment where they are immersed in the English language and engage in interactive and structure-based activities. Students improve their skills in grammar, listening/speaking, reading, and writing.

Who May Enroll?

Aims IELP/ESL Program is accessible to international students and our adult community residents.
