Shada, if I may ask what country do you come from?

I am really glad you are enjoying my blogs. isn't it amazing that you can explore the majors and then decide? If it wasn't for that I would have been stuck in something I would not like to have done.

I think that what the school administration where you come from made you appreciate more whta you can do here in the States, is that right?

Regarding my lamguage difficulties, well what could I say? Sometime I do not understand what someone is saying and I nod, or ask them again to repeat. After a while, you wil find yourself understanding everything! when I have had difficulties I go to the dictionary (if I am not in front of someone) and try to look the word and try to remember it. A way that I think would also help improve your English is reading novels in English, now I prefer reading in English than in Spanish... who would have guessed?

Let me know if these tips helped and if I can aid you with anything else.

Hello Kylie,

For you to obtain your visa, you should go online and see the requirements given by the U.S. Embassy and try to come up with them. You can come up with the requirements yourself, unless you are under 18. If you are you will need your parents approval. And the job you can find it once you arrive to the USA. As an internatioanl student under the F-1 Visa you are allowed to work on campus for a maximum of 20 hours a week suring the semester and for 39.5 hours a week during the summer.

Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Good luck!

Hi there,

I enjoyed reading some of ur blogs. I'm also a foreign student in USA. As you mentioned, the educational options are variety in almost all majors! So I have to agree with you that those options allow you to choose what you want to learn and as a result you enjoy learning not just foreced to do so and being a someone!

In my home country, most people do not choose even their majors! They select 2 or 3 majors from the school list and the school administration will put them in any available rooms or spots! I know it sounds stupid lol.

I'd like you to talk a little bit about the language difficulties that you faced in ur learning process please. Was there any? How did you go over them? How could you improve ur english? what worked and what did not and so on.

Thank you and good luck.

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I especially like your comparison here of the differences in the university systems in the US and Mexico. Thanks for writing!
