Originally from Guangzhou, China, Miffy Yuan came to the U.S. ten years ago, and has been working at San Diego State University’s American Language Institute (ALI) since 2010. Before working at the ALI, Miffy was an international student herself, and studied hospitality and tourism management industry both in China and the U.S. As the Recruiting Coordinator, Miffy works with all international students, especially those from China. With her international and hospitality background, Miffy understand the needs of international students, and loves helping them with their questions and concerns as they prepare to study internationally. San Diego State University is located in the southernmost part of California which results in near perfect weather, and one of the safest cities in the US. San Diego State University (SDSU) is the oldest and largest university in the Cal State system. SDSU is home to top-ranking programs in international business, entrepreneurship, speech-language pathology, geography and other areas. SDSU's undergraduate international business program ranks No. 14 in the nation. The American Language Institute (ALI) is one of the most prestigious university-based ESL programs in the US. ALI classes are taught on the SDSU campus. At the ALI students can study English in first-rate facilities at a highly-regarded campus. For more than 40 years we've offered a variety of programs to meet the specific needs and goals of international students. These programs include Intensive English for Communication, English for Academic Purposes, Pre-MBA and Pre-Master's, and International Business English just to name a few.
