Hello! I am Komal (I go by “Komz”) and I am a sophomore here at the University of Redlands. I am a international student who is Indian by origin but I was raised in Dubai. I found out about Redlands because of the Engineering program that it offers with Columbia University. However, I ended up going here because it provided me with a great financial aid package. The city of Redlands is small, however, it has everything you need to have fun, dine at new places, and make your home! Its proximity to LA makes for a great weekend getaway! I live in Anderson Hall2, that has one of the best communities on campus, you will see people in the lobby all the time watching TV, playing pool or just board games! The community is very welcoming and super inclusive.
I am a student at the Johnston Center for Integrative Studies. At Johnston, students have the ability to create their major and integrate many disciplines into one. My emphasis/major revolves around Digital Media Marketing and Business Development. I have been able to take classes in Accounting, Art & Media, Business, Computer Science, Economics, English, Math, Psychology, Religion and Gender & Sexuality Studies, but this is just the beginning for me! I have wonderful relationships with all my professors, and I love going into their office hours and having conversations with them. The way of learning here is so different from back home, and I absolutely love taking classes here!
University of Redlands has over 150 international students from over 40 countries.
