Student Testimonial

My name is Komz and I am a fourth year international student at University of Redlands. I am Indian by origin but I was raised in Dubai. Here are some fun facts about me and my experience at Redlands:

  1. I am a student in the Johnston Center for Integrative Studies. We have the ability to create our major and integrate many disciplines into one. My emphasis, or major, revolves around digital media marketing and business development. I have been able to take a range of classes from accounting, English, religion, and computer science.
  2. I have wonderful relationships with all my professors, and I love going to their office hours to have conversations. The way of learning at Redlands is so different from back home and I absolutely love taking classes here.
  3. I am member of a few clubs on campus like the South Asian Student Society (SASS). It is a great space for South Asian students to represent our culture on campus through celebrations and other special events. We also have the Asian Student Association (ASA) and the Middle Eastern Student Association (MESA). I am currently the president of the Redlands International Student Association. You will find over 100 organizations that you can be a part of as a Redlands student. I am a member of the national business fraternity on campus, Delta Sigma Pi, which helps students prepare for professional careers and enhances leadership education and service opportunities.
  4. I also work for the Johnston student-run radio station. I developed and currently manage the website, social media, and operate with the marketing team.

I hope that with all of the experiences I attain by the end of my four years here, I can apply them in the marketing field, specifically in the media or technology industry.
