The Master of Global Management (MGM) in Healthcare Services is a healthcare specialization for the #1 Master’s in Management according to the Times Higher Education/WSJ 2019 Business Schools Report. This online Master’s degree program, co-created by Arizona State University (ASU)’s Thunderbird School of Global Management and Dignity Health Global Education (DHGE) will provide students with a hands-on, culturally diverse educational experience. It does so by providing a balanced curriculum of theoretical and practical knowledge: The program consists of 49 credits in total. 43 credit hours are delivered online. 6 credit hours are designed as in-person applied project practicums, where students identify, analyze and solve problems for real-world clients in the healthcare industry.
MGM students can expect to see these courses in their curriculum:
Thunderbird’s mission since its inception has been to educate and shape global leaders — DHGE operates under the same principle. Through technology-enabled learning, students will use various learning methods including:
In addition to the online learning content, students will have the unique opportunity to work with clients on real healthcare projects in two on-site applied project practicums — this guarantees that you not only graduate with a degree that you can be proud of, but with applicable skills that you can use on the job straight away as well.
Technology, innovation, and globalization are changing the way we live and work. Machine learning and artificial intelligence are driving industries' practices — including healthcare — to levels never before seen. Contemporary challenges of the global health management workforce include demographic and epidemiological change, efficiency-saving, human resource management, changing structures, intensified management, and shifting roles and expectations. The world needs global leaders who can help healthcare organizations navigate these challenges and the risks of the Fourth Industrial Revolution while taking advantage of its opportunities.
The MGM in Healthcare Services equips leaders to navigate the modern world, shapes students into leaders and prepares them to build businesses, economies, cultures, and environments on a global level.
