Academic Programs

CSUDH offers over 60 undergraduate (Bachelor's) and graduate (Master's) degrees in five different colleges: 1) Arts & Humanities, 2) Business & Public Policy, 3) Education, 4) Natural & Behavioral Science, and 5) Health, Human Services & Nursing. If you are looking for a short-term program for one or two semesters, apply for our Study Abroad America program instead.

Study Abroad America

In addition to degree programs, you can study at CSUDH for one or two semesters in the Study Abroad America program. Each semester is 16 weeks long, and the school year begins in August and ends in May. International students can sign up for Fall, Spring, or both semesters. This program costs approximately US $12,600 per semester.

Intensive English Program (IEP)

Students who have not achieved CSUDH's TOEFL requirement are still eligible to apply for conditional admission to the university through the American Language and Culture Program (ALCP). If a student meets every university requirement except TOEFL from the major to which they've applied, they can be admitted to the university as long as they complete the CSUDH Intensive English Program.

CSUDH International

The College of Extended and International Studies at CSU has the job of internationalizing the campus by promoting study abroad opportunities for CSUDH students, leading training and education for international students looking to study at CSUDH, helping international students integrate into the American language and way of life through the American Language and Culture Program (ALCP), providing opportunities for faculty to teach abroad, and helping faculty develop study abroad programs for students at CSUDH.

Costs and Finances lists CSUDH as the second most affordable Californian university in 2021-2022. At CSUDH, international degree-seeking students pay US $36,000 to $38,000 per year, while Study Abroad America students pay US $12,600 per semester. There are limited scholarships available for degree-seeking international students.
