"As a graduate of SUNY Brockport’s MFA in Dance and Choreography program, I was thrilled to take on the challenge of finding opportunities and building success in New York City. On June 22nd, 2014 my MFA’s creative project Time Line, Space Point had a successful showing at Dixon Theatre in Manhattan. It is also my intention to publish an updated version of the written portion of my thesis in a peer reviewed dance journal.
I am currently working at Gallim Dance Company in New York City as a Special Assistant to the Artistic Director. My major responsibilities include contributing to the creation of dance performances by providing my artistic feedback of the choreography to the Artistic Director. I also assist in the planning, organizing and scheduling of rehearsals and performances. I host at local performances as well.
Recently, I also took a part-time job working as a translator for an immigration lawyer at the New York City Immigration Department. Additionally, I am dedicated to building my vision of a New York based International Art and Dance Festival and a Summer Camp Program. This would provide me a venue to introduce Asian and other foreign youth to Western artistic culture, and to foster an environment of creativity, cooperation and cultural exchange between artistic youth from around the world. Finally, I entered into the Phoenix TV 2014 Miss Chinese Cosmos Pageant of the Americas. I have been selected to attend the final competition where a winner will be crowned on August 10th in Phoenix, Arizona."
