At Broward College, we offer a variety of options for English Language Learners (ELL)

  • Intensive English Language Program (IEP) - Designed for students at any level who wish to improve their English language skills with a focus on Business English, TOEFL Test Preparation and/or Conversation & Accent Reduction.
  • Non-Intensive English Language Program (Non-Credit) - ideal for students who wish to improve their English language skills for personal communication and/or professional advancement.
  • English for Academic Purposes (EAP) - Provides English learners the opportunity to improve their language skills in order to prepare for college-level coursework, transfer to a university, or work in a professional career.

  • The Robert "Bob Elmore Honors College - Provides rigorous experience organized around the "Four Pillars of Honors Education": Critical Thinking, Service, Research, and Leadership.
  • Academic Sucess Center (ASC): Designed to advance academic achievement, Students are encouraged to utilize ASC services early and often to develop college-level study skills and become independent learners. Some of the services provided include: Certified Tutors, Academic Support Areas and Labs, Collaborative Project Space, Laptop Loans and more.
  • Career Center: The Career Center provides a system of supports that deliver learning when and how it is needed by a team of experts that includes employers, faculty, and career professionals.​ They will assist you in creating your resume, OPT, and finding a job.
