Marywood University is located in the northeast region of the United States, in a safe, residential neighborhood of the city of Scranton, Pennsylvania. The area's cost of living is among the most affordable in the U.S. The campus is 190km west of New York City and 185 km north of Philadelphia. Marywood is easily accessible by automobile, bus, and air, with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton airport just a 10-minute drive from campus. In the summer in Scranton, the temperature averages between 15 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius. In the winter, the temperature averages between 2 degrees Celsus and minus 6 degrees Celsius.

We offer a number of five-year programs for students to complete a bachelor's and master's program in just five years. This option is valuable as it saves students time and money. We also offer conditional admission to an academic program if the English proficiency scores do not meet our minimum requirements. Our conditionally accepted students participate in our Intensive English Program right on our campus!


Marywood University offers tuition scholarships to international students based on merit, and is ranked as one of the top institutions offering scholarships to international students. There is no separate application to complete in order to receive a merit scholarship. Our qualified students automatically receive a scholarship offer with their decision letter. As long as students maintain their designated GPA, merit scholarships will be provided annually. Our Admissions and Financial Aid staff provide support to students through the entire process of funding a Marywood education.

Graduate Programs & Cost

With 21 graduate degree programs offered across subject areas from Art Therapy to Exercise Science, there are so many different ways to continue your education at Marywood. In addition, students who already hold an MBA from ACBSP Region 10 or a recognized business school in India and South Asia can enter Marywood's MS-MIS (Management Information Systems) program. This program which is normally a two year program can be completed in half that time - just 12 months.
