About Valencia College

Located in Orlando, Florida, Valencia College is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and was named the best community college in the nation as the inaugural winner of the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. As a community college, Valencia primarily offers two-year associate degrees, which transfer to university bachelor’s programs. Compared to a Florida public university, the level of education at Valencia is just the same, but the tuition is 40% less, the class sizes are typically smaller and there are more support resources.

With more than 100 countries represented on its campuses, Valencia welcomes students from all over the world. The college’s dedicated International Student Services team can assist you with everything from admissions and immigration to academic advising and university transfer .

Why Valencia?

The Valencia Difference

Valencia College is recognized as one of the best colleges in the nation, receiving the inaugural Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence in honor of our achievements in academics and student experience. At Valencia, students get a top-notch education at a price that they can afford. We offer the same curriculum and courses as a state university, at half the cost. With smaller campuses and classes, Valencia offers its students more support along the way. You will have flexibility to take classes days, nights, or weekends on any of our five campuses or online. On top of that, Flex Start courses are beginning all of the time! When you’re finished at Valencia College, you will be ready to go straight into a high-skill, high-wage job, or transfer to a four-year university with two years of transferable credits and guaranteed admission.

Are you on a waitlist for a class for spring semester? Or did you sign up for classes, but forget to pay? Because of a computer issue, the college did not delete any students for nonpayment on Friday night. Those deletions will take place tonight. What does this mean for students? If you were on a waitlist for a class, check Atlas registration on Sunday morning for updates on your waitlist status. If you have not yet paid for classes (or if you tried to register for classes on Saturday), please check your Atlas email on Sunday for updates. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We can't help but smile, looking at this photo of artist Pedro Brull in front of his mural, "El Camino al Éxito" ("The Pathway to Success"). It's hanging up in the entry way to our brand new Poinciana Campus. What a year it has been at Valencia College! #Valencia50th
