Computer Animation

Full Sail's Computer Animation program features the focus areas of Fine Arts, Modeling, Animation, Effects, and includes a Final Project/ Reel Demo. You will learn a wide range of skills from traditional art and animation principles, life drawing, shading and lighting. The curriculum includes the principles of physics, anatomy, and color theory, computer animation courses and creating digital characters, objects, and environments, as well as applying your learnings to special effects for live action film and television.

Digital Arts & Design

Full Sail's on campus Digital Arts & Design program includes the focus areas of Print& 2D, Motion Graphics, Interactive Design, and Portfolio Development. The degree allows you to translate that knowledge into a career creating powerful images and to communicate ideas through different media, including video, print, motion graphics and the web. Working to develop your personal branding style, your final project will include both physical and web-based portfolios that will help you launch your career.


If you' want to pursue a degree in the entertainment and media industry you can bring your English up to speed, learning alongside students who share your passion. Full Sail's English as a Second Language program builds your English skills on all levels of comprehension, vocabulary, listening, and conversation while being creative.

Projects and exercises – including movies, songwriting, blogging, podcasts, art, and more prepare you for language proficiency exams while at the same time being emerged in the university environment, the entertainment industry and interacting with current faculty and students.

Film/Motion Picture

Full Sail's Bachelor of Science in Film focuses on the areas of Preproduction, Production, Postproduction, and includes a Final Project, your own 35mm film to prepare you to enter the film industry. Get hands-on experience on the role that each crew member plays.

You’ll learn everything from creating a film’s story, finalizing scripts, and storyboards to preparing budgets, scheduling shoots, and holding casting calls. Of course this also includes the postproduction process, by cutting, rearranging, recording and editing footage, dialogue, sound effects, music, and visual effects and titles. In all this you’ll be using Hollywood professional gear, from 16mm, 35mm and HD cameras, cranes and lighting rigs to Full Sail’s own multi-locale backlot.

Game Design/Development

Full Sail's Game School offers a Bachelor of Science in Game Development focusing on the areas of Programming Languages, Interactive Development, Architectures, and Projects. Courses include each cycle of game development, the foundations of programming, creating game engines, developing artificial intelligence, and integrating assets.

A curriculum and tools that are always current and industry-relevant, skilled and experienced instructors, and an advisory board of video game industry professionals will give you the technical and professional skills to start your career in the industry.

Media Communications

Full Sail University's Bachelor of Science program in Media Communications includes the focus areas of Written & Visual Communications, Digital Audio & Video Production, New Media Tools, and Transmedia Storytelling.

Learn core communication principles and writing techniques, while becoming familiar with digital media from video and audio, to games and animation, new media technology and theories of aesthetics and communication, and learn the workflow processes involved in creative project management. Taking on real-world programs and building your online portfolio helps you build your own personal brand and stand out to future employers.

Recording Arts

Full Sail’s Bachelor of Science in Recording Arts focuses on the areas of Sound Fundamentals, Music Production, Recording, and Postproduction.

Experience different facets of the industry: Learn microphone placement, engineer actual recording sessions with artists, sharpen your editing skills, work with post-production audio for film and television projects and mix sound effects, all in one of our several state-of-the-art recording facilities.

Show Production

The Bachelor of Science in Show Production with the focus areas of Live Event Production, Audio & Lighting Systems, Audio Visual Technologies, and Concert Media Design will teach you all aspects of working behind the scenes.

You’ll design, engineer, and manage a full-scale multimedia concert in Full Sail Live, our state-of-the-art performance hall. From live shows, gigs, or conventions; to arena rock shows or theme parks, you will be able to launch a career in every part of this growing industry.

Software Development

Full Sail University's Bachelor of Science in Software Development focuses on the areas of Software Industry Foundations, Software Engineering & Design, Data Structure & System Design, and Capstone.

It introduces you to design, development, and implementation of software-based solutions and products for business, entertainment, and consumer markets. You’ll work on your own software product, while building the critical-thinking and professional skills necessary to enter this industry.

Web Design & Development

With the focus areas of Interface Design & Usability, Web Standards, Interactivity, Dynamic Back-End Development, and a Final Project, Full Sail’s Bachelor of Science in Web Design & Development ideally prepares you for a professional career to pursue a role at a web development studio, or launch your own business. Like Mike Exeter. He is a 1992 Recording Arts Graduate who has worked with legendary greats such as Black Sabath on their latest album Heaven and Hell. Mike said about his experience working with the band, “The greatest feeling is when you sit there in the studio, a big smile comes up on your face, the hairs come up on the back of your arms, and you’re like ‘Yeah, this is what it’s all about”

The Full Sail Global Achievement Scholarship is designed to encourage and develop future international entertainment and media professionals throughout the world.  Through the Global Achievement Scholarship, eligible participants may receive up to $15,000 toward the tuition of their Full Sail campus degree program.

The Global Achievement Scholarship will award up to $15,000 to eligible campus degree program candidates. This scholarship fund is limited, and will be awarded to all applicants who meet the eligibility requirements and according to the award determination process as outlined below.

Minimum Eligibilty Requirements

In order to be eligible for consideration, those applying for a Global Achievement Scholarship must:

  • Be a non-US citizen.
  • Complete and submit the Global Achievement application, and an original 500-word essay on “How My Full Sail Education Will Help Me Achieve My Career Dream” prior to the first day of class.
  • Applicants must have applied for one of the following accelerated campus degree programs:
  • Associate degree programs: Event Production, Graphic Design or Recording Arts Bachelor degree programs: Creative Writing, Entertainment Business, Film, Media Communications, Music Business, Recording Arts, Show Production or Sports Marketing & Media Master degree programs: Entertainment Business, Film Production, or Game Design.

How To Apply

The Global Achievement Scholarship application must be submitted to the Full Sail Scholarship Committee prior to the desired start date.


  • Applicants must have conducted a formal interview with their Admissions representative.
  • Applicants must have applied as a new student to Full Sail University for a 2015 start date.
  • Applicants must have applied for a Full Sail University immersive accelerated campus degree program. Applicants seeking entrance to a Full Sail University Hybrid or Extended campus degree program are not eligible.
  • Applicants must have met the entrance requirements for the desired Full Sail University campus degree program.
  • A change of degree program, interruption of training, or withdrawal may result in cancellation of scholarship award and disbursement. Student understands that a change of student status may impact eligibility.
  • Students who delay their start date will forfeit eligibility.
  • The Global Achievement Scholarship may be used with most other Full Sail University scholarship programs.
  • Funds from the Global Achievement Scholarship may only be used toward the tuition of a Full Sail University campus degree program.
  • The scholarship is nontransferable and has no redeemable cash value. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.


  • Applicants’ essays will be evaluated by a scholarship committee on the following criteria: originality, composition, clarity and relevance to the topic. Essays judged outstanding will be awarded.
  • Recipients will be notified by the Full Sail University Admissions Department prior to beginning their degree program, provided eligibility requirements above are met.
  • Scholarship amount will be disbursed throughout student’s academic years, amount to be divided equally between semesters, as applicable.
