Monmouth College is a nationally-ranked, private, residential liberal arts college of 1260 students in central Illinois. We offer many majors (in the humanities, sciences, social sciences and arts) as well as business and accounting, physical education and wellness administration, and education. Particular strengths are computer science, psychology, communications, chemistry and biochemistry and accounting. We offer pre-architecture, pre-engineering, pre-med and other pre-professional programs, with excellent affiliations to outstanding graduate programs. Our student-faculty ratio is 11:1; the average class size is 13. Our students come from across the nation and from more than 25 countries. Monmouth offers many opportunities for summer undergraduate research and mentored independent study, internships, study abroad, and student leadership in a wide variety of student organizations. The College is located in the small, friendly and very safe town of Monmouth. Chicago and other major urban centers are accessible by plane, train, bus and car. We provide generous merit-based financial aid for undergraduate international students.
