University of Alaska Southeast - Sitka

The Sitka Campus of the University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) serves 1,000 students in a variety of associate degree, certificate, and occupational endorsement programs. It is one of three campuses that make up UAS. Located on beautiful Baranof Island, nestled between the mountains and the ocean within the Tongass National Forest, the vibrant community of Sitka boasts a great deal of history and culture. It is an outdoor enthusiast's dream come true, where wildlife and recreational activities abound.

Considering the small but dynamic local population, the Sitka Campus of UAS serves 70% of its students through online and other forms of distance delivery. Students can complete almost any UAS Sitka program from across the great state of Alaska, from other areas of the United States, and even internationally. Programs of study include Fisheries Technology, Health Information Management, Medical Assisting, Pre-Nursing, Construction and Welding Technologies, and General Liberal Arts studies in the AA or AS degree programs. Most programs provide graduates with credentials to go straight into the workforce or allow them to transfer seamlessly throughout the University of Alaska system into four-year baccalaureate degree programs.

International students are welcome. Free ESL support and informal classes are available.
