In Florida, there are a wide variety of options when it comes to higher education. Florida is the 7th most popular state for international students; there are 12 public universities, 6 major medical schools, and a number of different private colleges. Since Florida has the fourth largest economy in the US, it naturally follows that many Florida schools offer some of the best curriculums in their respective programs. You may find yourself looking at Florida schools as a health major, as a coastal engineer, or even as an aspiring pilot.
Location
Florida is a unique state. Known for its year-round warm weather, Florida is one of the most populated states in the US. Since Florida is a peninsula, it is covered on all sides by beautiful beaches, most of which are neighbored by quiet small towns. The interior is largely made up of subtropical terrain with an impressive amount of biodiversity. The Everglades is the largest subtropical wilderness in the Unites States. In addition to this natural beauty, Florida is home to thriving big cities like Orlando, Tampa, and Miami, to theme parks that people visit from all around the world, and to areas that combine these different aspects. However, Florida remains one of the cheapest states to live in, and has the 6th lowest tuition fees in the US.
