TCC provides two separate degrees: an Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree, and an Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree. The A.A. Degree is a two-year program which prepares students to transfer to four-year universities, where they will receive a Bachelor’s Degree. The A.S. Degree equips students with skills needed to move directly into the workforce in various fields such as Healthcare, Engineering, Computer Technology, Criminal Justice and Business. Taking your first two years at TCC allows you to take the same classes you otherwise would take at a four-year university at a significantly lower tuition rate.
Through Florida’s higher education system, students who earn an Associate in Arts degree from TCC are guaranteed admission to one of the 12 state universities.
Start your Bachelor’s degree with an Associate of Arts (AA) degree which counts as the first 2 years of study of any Bachelor’s degree. From the beginning, students complete the prerequisites for their Bachelor’s program and then easily transfer to finish their last 2 years at a university.
TCC Students in these programs are setup for successful admission to Florida State University, Florida A&M University, or the University of West Florida or other Florida University when they complete their Associate of Arts degree. Our 2 + 2 Program is an excellent pathway for TCC students who wish to attend a 4 year University in the future. Students who stay on track and meet all transfer requirements are guaranteed admission to FSU, FAMU or UWF for example.
