The Institute for Global Student Success™ (IGSS), an organization dedicated to helping international students succeed academically, socially and professionally in the United States, is launching its second annual video competition for incoming and current foreign students to receive a scholarship to its full year program starting this August. The #GlobalStudentScholarship contest is aimed at US International Students — undergraduates and graduates— who want to succeed in the American classroom, make American friends and gain internships and jobs at firms such as GoldmanSachs, PWC, Marriott, JP Morgan Chase, etc. 90% of IGSS enrollees have gained paid internships ands/or jobs in the U.S. Three scholarships will be awarded: First Prize: One winner will receive a full scholarship to Institute for Global Student Success™ Full-Year Program Second Prize: One winner will receive a 25% scholarship to Institute for Global Student Success™ Full-Year Program Third Prize: 5 winners will receive a 10% scholarship to Institute for Global Student Success™ Full-Year Program Participants should submit a short video for their chance to win an IGSS scholarship to our year-long program starting in August in New York City.

Applicants for this award must meet the following criteria:

Other CriteriaHere are the requirements to submit to the #GlobalStudentScholarship contest: 1. Students must record a 90 second video in English. 2. Students must tell us their name, school, school year, how they heard about this contest and then answer the following questions. Incoming freshmen students, transfer students and first year graduate students, please answer the follow questions: What are your goals for coming to study in America and why/how do you think the Institute for Global Student Success can help you achieve them? All other students, please answer the following questions: What have been your unexpected challenges and difficulties since you came to the U.S., what are your biggest concerns moving forward and why do you believe the Institute for Global Student Success can enable you to overcome these concerns? 3. Once recorded, participants can upload to the video sharing platform of their choice – YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, etc. Share the video on Facebook, Twitter and/or LinkedIn using hashtag #GlobalStudentScholarship.
