People Change Everything

For the last two and a half years I’ve been studying International Marketing and Advertising at Icesi University in Cali, Colombia. During this time, I’ve been able to learn about marketing strategy, economics, brand management, pricing strategies, and innovation. What is missing, however, is an experience abroad that could enrich me both academically and personally. On the academic side, attending a college with a different sociocultural and economic context will provide a new perspective on the theories, problems, and solutions that I’ve been studying. On the personal side, I firmly believe that getting to know another culture and people helps me become a more empathetic person. Empathy and acceptance are two things this world seems to need urgently.
