Coming from a less privileged background where I had to hawk to pay fees to achieve my dreams, I wondered, if asked to change something in the past, what might that be? Well, when given the chance to change, why not? I always wonder what my life would be if I redid my first degree, but I think this would turn out with me going back to University. Why medicine in the Caribbean? The holistic evaluation, rolling admissions, acceptance rates, graduate success, and tropical paradise! But gosh - the fees! With this contest, I believe it would curb financial constraints. St. George’s University (SGU) has been one of the most regarded institutions for studying abroad. Its landscape and colonial history offers students cultural exchange. With the acceptance into SGU, I do believe that the MD/MPH would grant me the needed leverage to operate as a physician and a scientist. Back home, the clinic in the vicinity feels further away from the natives, generating lots of stress. I do look forward to assisting natives.
