Fourth Place. In “Defying Gravity”, Ana Gabriela Toree Gomez, an aspiring actress in Mexico, will not give up on her dreams of the stage. She is finally ready risk it all to pursue her love of theater full-time, and is going to London to do so – congratulations Ana!

This is a story of a girl called Sristy, who relentlessly wishes to fly out of the concrete jungle of an oriental world (India). The video is fragmented, mirroring Sristy's life itself, which too is scattered. Her Hollywood dream to be a photographer intensifies as she turns 21.
In March of 2012, I will be attending Bauhaus University in Weimar Germany to continue my studies in Photography. This video serves as a portfolio of my work, and talks about the necessity of going to new places in order to explore people and where they come from.
