The Little Things Matter

Life can sometimes feel paused, stagnant, or even unfair. I had often neglected the small wins or anything I ever accomplished because I only looked forward to the big ones. The little things do matter. I will be attending graduate school (Master of Public Health) in the next academic session. I believe public health is my calling and that there is no health without the inclusion of the public, and no public without the inclusion of health. My end goal is to work for intergovernmental organizations such as the World Health Organization or the United Nations Children’s Fund and earn a doctorate degree in public health or a similar field. I want to impact people all over the world by helping to make life better for them. I want to be an advocate for peace, health, and equality. I intend on working with underserved communities in Nigeria, focusing on reforming health care policies, providing proper health services, and educating the public on proper health care practices. - Gladys Ebunoluwa Bolawa, Nigeria
