My twin sister and I are both getting our undergraduate degrees in the Philippines. My mom has to pay for our education and so she has to work hard in the U.S. To date, she has spent four consecutive Christmases all alone. I want to change that this Christmas. I think she deserves only the best since she’s such a good mom and a good person all in all. (She’s a nurse by profession). I want my twin sister and I to surprise her this Christmas. Moreover, I know my twin sister and I are not the only international students who cannot afford to go home and be with their families over the Christmas holiday. So I offer up all my luggage space if necessary, to anything the students whose parents are in the U.S. might want to send for Christmas- students can’t always afford the international mailing expenses. I will ensure the packages’ mailing and if the parents live near me or my state (Connecticut), I will personally deliver the gifts/packages to their doorsteps and wish them a heartfelt “Merry Christmas”. I am ready to be Santa’s Helper.
